BJ’s Rapid Edge guarantees the quality of our service for a period of seven (7) days (including sharpening day, or the day delivered, if mail in). If you are unhappy with the quality of the edges we produced for any reason we will, at our discretion, re-sharpen your shears at no cost to you or refund your money. This will be the sole remedy and liability under this guarantee. This guarantee does not cover neglect, abuse, or tampering by anyone not directly employed by BJ’s Rapid Edge.
*Shears made in China, Taiwan, Pakistan or with no country of origin marked are not covered under this guarantee.
Other policies and procedures
Reconditioning of scissors damaged by severe neglect, abuse, or damage from poor sharpening may be charged up to double the regular sharpening price. The price is payable for the effort with no guarantee of positive results, and is not covered by our usual guarantee. The designation of “reconditioning” vs. “sharpening” will be the judgment of BJ’s Rapid Edge.
BJ’s Rapid Edge may offer to “Lay-Away” purchases for customers. We will work with the customer on a plan that will suite both parties. The customer will NOT take possession of the merchandise until payment in full has been received. Post dated credit card payments, or post-dated checks are NOT considered payment received. The first payment MUST be at least 20% of the total amount of the purchase price including taxes. It is the responsibility of the customer to see that payment is received.
Shears sold by BJ’s Rapid Edge are covered by a manufacturer’s guarantee unless specified otherwise. BJ’s encourages customers to take advantage of these guarantees. We will accept returns for credit or replacement during the first 5 days, any shear that was purchased from us, provided it is in like new condition. All returns are subject to inspection and will not be accepted for return if damaged by excessive wear, abuse or neglect. This includes, but is not limited to, sharpening by anyone other than BJ’s Rapid Edge or our designated agent, physical or chemical damage to any part of the shear including the edges. Shears accepted for return will be subject to a restock fee of 15% of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) before any discounts were applied, plus a $35 re-conditioning fee.
